Job Title: Event Supervisor
Department: Recreation
Reports to: Events and Corporate Services Manager
Job Class: Regular Part-Time, Non-exempt
Work Hours: Variable hours depending on events. Times split between Event Supervisors.
General Events Times: M-F 5:00 pm -12:30 am, Sat-Sun 8:00 am - 12:30 am. Up to 19 hours per week
Compensation: $17.00 per hour
Position Summary:
Under the general direction and supervision of the Events and Corporate Services Manager, the Event Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the day of the event, which includes activities, staff, cleanliness of the building, safety, opening, and closing, and security of the building.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interacts with the clients on the day in an enthusiastic and welcoming manner.
- Conducts a complete facility walk-through, checking facility cleanliness and proper event setup.
- Knowledgeable and familiar with rental information to serve the client.
- Responds to all safety and emergencies following all required protocols and notifying necessary staff.
- Attending meetings and training as requested.
- Responsible for the care, maintenance, and storage of the Addison Park District rental equipment and supplies.
- Assist clients in loading and unloading event materials from their vehicle
- May be required to host outdoor parties (splash pad, shelters, gazebos, etc.) with duties including, but not limited to:
- Arriving at the rental site before the clients to ensure the rental area is vacated by the general public.
- Ensuring the area is clean and free of debris before clients arrive.
- Ensuring garbage containers are empty near the rental site before clients arrive.
- Performs other related duties and/or special projects as assigned.
- Completing a safety and cleanliness checklist after each event
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Must be 21 years of age or older for alcohol-serving events.
- A.S.S. E.T. training provided by the Park District and must be completed before the first working event.
- Must complete food service training within six (6) months of hiring
- CPR and AED certified within (6) months of hiring (District provided).
- Bi-lingual preferred.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
- May be required to work both inside and outside during various environmental conditions, such as, but not limited to rain and mud, hot and cold temperatures, exposure to dust, fumes, dirt, and noise.
- Operates, and handles assigned equipment.
- Must have the physical agility to maintain mobility from site to site and be able to perform moderate manual tasks.
- May perform duties which include, but are not limited to prolonged lifting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, and climbing for extended periods. It may require lifting to 50 lbs.
