- JOB SUMMARY
- Works with staff to perform tasks necessary to insure the patients, staff, and visitors have a clean and sanitized hospital, including performing cleaning processes and following established procedures. Should be knowledgeable and able to perform all Environmental Services Tech/Environmental Services Engineer job tasks and be able to step in as relief. Designates workloads to accommodate shortages, and extra projects as assigned, Inspects areas and performs follow up inspections to ensure proper standards are met on a monthly basis. Carries out other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager. In the managers and supervisors absence assumes the management role. Lead is to teach, support, counsel, coach, evaluate and serve as a role model for new EVS employee. Team members. Mon – Fri. Weekends and overtime as needed and approved by managers.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Professional & Technical Skills
- 1-2 years experience working in a healthcare environment. Previous supervisory experience is preferred. Successful completion of hospital and department orientation and training; must be able to read and understand labels, directions and policies.

Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

License(s) or Certification(s)
- IEHA certification a plus but not required.

Other Skills or Requirements
- Customer service oriented personality; two years of Environmental Services experience preferred but not required. Ability to learn and use computer system.

Skilled to Care for Certain Age-Related Patient Groups (incumbents will be skilled in the care of the following patient groups)
