EXERCISE SPECIALIST-WELLNESS - Aultman Health Foundation

Job Summary: This position is responsible for duties included with Wellness with an emphasis on, but not limited to, member wellness assessments, individual exercise prescription implementation, and education to reduce risk of injury/disease and enhance quality of life.

Job Supervisor: Sports & Wellness Manager

Job Requirements: B.S. Degree in Exercise Science/Physiology or related field.

National certification(s) is recommended (ex. ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE)

Job Responsibilities

· Provide Performance services in accordance with the

mission statement of Aultman Orrville Hospital.

· Complete facility operations (ex. opening, closing, etc.) and policy/procedures as determined by management.

· Provide tours and education to potential members on the unique concept of the services at Sports & Wellness.

· Perform wellness assessments on all members, and provide an individualized exercise plan to be re-evaluated quarterly.

· Provide nutrition education within the scope of practice.

· Provide daily education as needed with new members to progressively add and educate members to their individualized wellness plan.

· Supervise the wellness area and provide members with support/connection, daily education and progression with their individualized programs.

· Assist with duties associated front end operations, marketing, and membership services.

· Complete inspection/cleaning of equipment as described by facility maintenance log.

· Provide community presentations in performance/wellness education.
