About the Job
- Deliver direct services to children with diverse needs, fostering their motor, sensory, and cognitive development.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for children, in collaboration with parents and other professionals.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations in children's homes to identify specific therapeutic needs.
- Provide individualized treatment sessions, focusing on enhancing children's functional abilities in their home environments.
- Educate and train parents or caregivers on strategies to support their child's development and address specific challenges.
- Co-create and facilitate transdisciplinary early intervention-focused curriculum with a team of other therapists.
- Document and maintain accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and any related administrative tasks.
- Communicate regularly with parents/caregivers to provide updates on their child's progress and involve them in goal-setting and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with other professionals to support students and share best practices
- Plan and lead community classes weekly
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- CA State licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working with young children in educational or therapeutic settings.
- Knowledge of best practices in inclusive education and early childhood development.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated understanding of individualized treatment planning and the ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse needs.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a transdisciplinary team, collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other professionals.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact compassionately with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children of all abilities.
- Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of a pilot program and work in a collaborative, innovative environment.

- Approx. 35 hours per week providing home visit therapy to our clients (this includes travel time)
- Approx. Approx 4 hours collaboration and admin time.
- Approx. 1 hour per week teaching community classes and therapeutic playgroups
- Standing for 2+ plus hours per day
- Stooping, bending, climbing, and walking frequently
- Lifting up to 40 pounds
