Overview
Assist Edith Bowen Laboratory School Child Nutrition Director with preparation, serving and cleaning up of school lunch for K-6 elementary. Dependability and reliability are a must.
We are hiring a substitute position. There is not a guaranteed number of hours per week; some weeks could be none, others could be 15-20. In many instances, you would be scheduled in advance when staff request time off, but it could also be morning of, if someone has an emergency. You would generally need to be available between the hours of 8 a.m. and 1:15 p.m., Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities
The Edith Bowen Laboratory School food service worker will be assigned a variety of duties, including, but not limited to
* food preparation
* stocking
* serving
* dishwashing
* basic cleaning
Qualifications
* Applicants must be able to work well with people of all ages, which includes elementary students, college students and the faculty, and staff of the school.
* Applicants must be able to read and follow a recipe in English
* Must be able to work independently as well as with a team through a variety of food related tasks each day.
* Prior experience in the food service industry or related experience.
* Ability to follow directions.
* Ability to work in a cafeteria/kitchen environment, which includes cleanup.
* Food Handlers Permit or ServSafe Certificate
* Working with children and adults.
