Overview
Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Electrical CAD Designer/Operator to join our Electrical practice in Long Beach, California!
Responsibilities
+ This individual will primarily be responsible for: designing and producing sets of plans for electrical systems including, electrical vehicle charging and building electrical
+ Participate on project teams in an active production role
+ Participate in project meetings internally
+ Daily interaction and collaboration on cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines
+ Perform quality work that promotes client retention
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree preferred)
+ 3+ years of design experience in Engineering, electrical is a plus
+ Advanced knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD
+ Understanding of the National Electrical code, other NFPA codes/standards, energy codes is a plus
+ Building Information Modeling (BIM-Autodesk Revit) experience is a plus
+ Knowledge and understanding of MicroStation experience is a plus
+ Electrical power, lighting and fire alarm design experience
+ The ability to work independently or in team environment effectively
+ The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
+ Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter
+ Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and a desire to learn
+ Ability to work independently and with a team
Salary Range:
$60,000 to $80,000
