Electrical Engineer - Monarch Technical Search

Responsible for conceptual design, component specification, system hardware design, programming, and providing engineering support. Approximately 30%-50% of domestic travel may be required, with international travel as a possibility.

Responsibilities:

• Please keep in mind the following job requirements:
• Apply electrical and electronic theory to design, program, and troubleshoot packaging machinery.
• Read and troubleshoot ladder logic within motion controls, including programming servo drives (AB).7
• Possess design problem-solving skills and work well in a team environment.
• Support Field Service Technicians with program-related troubleshooting, which may involve traveling to customer locations or providing remote support.
• Create wiring schematics, program diagrams, and complete bill of materials

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience in capital equipment design and service.
• 5-10 years of related electrical design experience.
• Proficient in using CAD software for electrical design documentation utilizing SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD, or similar systems.
• Demonstrated experience in the design of Stepper Motor, Servo, and touch screen-controlled capital equipment systems or machinery—specific experience in the Packaging industry a plus.
• Programming of Allen-Bradley PLCs or CODESYS PLC systems (Bosch Rexroth preferred, Siemens, Beckhoff, etc.)
• Good organization, communication, analytical, and project management skills. Good verbal and written skills utilizing office software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel, up to 30%-50%, including internationally
