We are searching for an Electrical Engineer, Mixed Signal based in Scottsdale, AZ. This role involves designing, analyzing, constructing, and evaluating electronic audio circuits while ensuring compliance with safety and EMC standards. The position requires advanced design skills, experience with analog audio and digital circuit integration, and proficiency in project planning and technical problem-solving.
This is a hybrid position based out of Scottsdale, AZ.
Essential Functions:
- Design, analyze, construct and evaluate electronic audio circuits, ensuring that all design standards and product requirements are maintained
- Devise solutions to technical problems that arise in products in development and production, including safety and EMC compliance. Create engineering change notices as necessary
- Use tools such as PCB layout software, schematic capture software, circuit simulation software, etc.to create and improve product designs
- Work with project managers to define project schedules for hardware tasks. Keep project tasks on schedule and help find solutions to mitigate unexpected delays
- Work with product development team to integrate digital elements with other parts of the product design
- Write basic software to validate hardware
- Other duties and functions as assigned
Qualifications:
- Advanced design, analysis, and debugging skills for electronic circuits in audio products
- Proficiency in analog audio design, including discrete and op-amp circuits, with best practices for low noise and high-quality audio
- Familiarity with PCB layout for high-speed digital circuits and serial bus protocols (I2S, USB, I2C, SPI)
- Experience with Bluetooth/WiFi radios, ARM processor platforms, and memory interface circuits (DDR)
- Knowledge of EMC design practices and experience in solving EMC and safety compliance issues
- Ability to construct and solder electronic circuits, including small packages and fine-pitch PCB components
- Strong technical and non-technical communication skills and project planning capabilities
