Overview:
Titan Florida LLC is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work at its Pennsuco Cement Plant in Medley, FL. Will be assigned to the Electrical Department and will report directly to the Electrical Maintenance Manager. Will be responsible for supporting reliable operation of the plant electrical and automation systems while helping to keep maintenance and repair costs at a minimum.
Responsibilities:- Maintain and promote strict adherence to all safety rules, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide maintenance engineering support to the electrical team.
- Help develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for new and existing equipment.
- Assist with integrating maintenance tasks required for new equipment and installations into existing maintenance plans.
- Work on designing and implementing control system architecture upgrades or enhancements.
- Evaluate chronic failures and RCA actions to develop and implement long term improvements.
- Participate in Root Cause failure Analysis for downtime events that meet trigger criteria.
- Ensure high reliability through evaluations of critical spare parts availability.
- Work on complex industrial equipment and systems including Medium and low voltage VFDs, PLC, HMI, plant control systems, and instrumentation systems.
- Work on power system components including breakers, relays, arrestors, transformers etc.
- Evaluate and implement necessary power distribution, automation and motor control infrastructure upgrades or enhancements to ensure reliable operation.
- Assist with developing and implementing CAPEX projects related to electrical and automation infrastructure improvements.
- Commit to always maintaining a safe working environment.
- Clearly articulate ideas or issues to management.
- Assist Electrical Manager with Reporting, General Operations and Planning, Audits and Future Planning.
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent foreign degree and at least 6 months of technical or engineering experience in any heavy industry. Also required:
- Practical knowledge of computer systems, networking, software development/programming such as DOMO, AutoCAD/drafting programs gained through experience or on-the-job training.
- Practical knowledge of Power/industrial electronics gained through experience or on-the-job training.
- Able to assimilate and embrace change.
- Safety minded.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and reasoning skills
- Excellent computer skills including use of Microsoft Office suite.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Must be able to work extended hours, holidays, nights, and weekend as needed.
- Team oriented attitude.
