Electrical Engineer - Actalent

About the Role:

As an Electrical Engineer, you will:



+ Perform engineering calculations, including load calculations, equipment selection, energy analysis, psychrometrics, controls, fixture loading, pressure loss, and duct sizing.


+ Manage time and budget effectively to ensure project deliverables and schedules are met.


+ Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to produce high-quality drawings.


+ Calculate power and lighting loads for both new and existing building systems.


+ Review and analyze local and national codes to ensure compliance.


+ Design life safety systems, including fire alarms.


+ Select and design layouts for electrical equipment such as switchgear, transformers, electrical panels, emergency generators, UPS systems, and power distribution systems.



Qualifications:



+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.


+ 5-8 years of experience in electrical design for building systems, including power distribution, lighting, and electrical panels.


+ Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP and Revit.


+ Experience with load calculations and managing small to medium-sized projects.



Work Environment:



+ Enjoy a hybrid schedule: work in the office four days a week and remotely on Fridays.


+ Collaborate with a close-knit team of architects and engineers, including 2 architects, 6 engineers, principals, and administrative staff, totaling 15-20 members.
