JOB REQUIREMENTS: Astronautics Corporation of America (Astronautics) is
a global leader in the design, development and manufacture of secure
avionics equipment and systems for the commercial and military aerospace
industry. Job Summary Join our Oak Creek, WI team as an Electrical
Engineering Intern! Our internships are hands on, highly technical, and
designed to let you see what it's like to work at Astronautics. This is
a paid undergraduate intern opportunity. As an engineering intern, you
will work closely with our engineering staff on actual customer
projects. Our summer intern program consists of at least 10 weeks of
real world experience in an engineering development environment. In
addition to electrical engineering, we have open opportunities in data
security, software, quality and systems engineering this summer. Mentors
are assigned to assist interns in achieving engineering related career
development that is of mutual benefit to you and Astronautics. Our
internship program includes events and opportunities to meet other
interns and employees across the organization. As an Electrical
Engineering Intern, you will contribute to the launch of new avionic
flight display products through performing electrical analysis and test.
You will be part of a project team having deliverables that contribute
to the success of Astronautics Corporation. This role is focused around
developing circuit board assemblies. Typical activities may include the
following activities: schematic capture, component selection, and
circuit simulation, testing of existing boards requirements development
review and report development. This role will also provide an
opportunity for professional development that results in contribution to
the on-going business needs of Astronautics. Position Responsibilities:
Work with cross-functional teams to take a design from specification
through architecture design, development, test, and qualification.
Develop technical specifications for customers and suppliers. Design
electronic circuits and assemblies for specification compliance. Verify
that designs meet or exceed all requirements and specifications. Analyze
analog, digital, and power circuit designs including
micro-processors/controllers, FPGA's, sensor, linear and switching
power supplies. Perform detailed technical analysis and create test and
analysis reports. Generate design documentation to ensure the delivery
of a quality finished product such as qualification test plans and
reports, and product user and maintenance manuals. Facilitate design
reviews with key stakeholders including Design Engineering, Systems
Engineering, and Manufacturing. Create technical solutions through root
