About the Role:
Entech Staffing Solutions is looking for an Electrical Project Manager in the Detroit, MI area. You would be responsible for overseeing electrical projects, maintenance, and upgrades across the company. This role requires expertise in electrical systems, project management, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The Electrical Project Manager will work closely with staff, contractors, and vendors to ensure that electrical infrastructure meets the needs for safety, efficiency, and sustainability. This is a DIRECT HIRE POSITION
Essential Functions:
Plan, coordinate, and execute electrical projects, including new installations, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
Develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines.
Ensure that projects are completed on schedule and within budget while meeting quality standards.
Develop and manage budgets for electrical projects.
Monitor project costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and report on financial performance.
Provide technical expertise on electrical systems and equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and develop solutions.
Collaborate with engineers and technicians to optimize electrical infrastructure.
Select and manage contractors, subcontractors, and vendors for electrical projects.
Obtain bids, negotiate contracts, and oversee the work of external service providers.
Ensure that all work is performed to industry standards and university requirements.
Stay up-to-date with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Ensure that all electrical work complies with local, state, and federal regulations.
Implement safety protocols and best practices for electrical projects.
Maintain accurate project records, including plans, permits, and inspection reports.
Generate regular reports on project progress and financial status for university leadership.
Collaborate with other departments and university stakeholders to understand their electrical needs.
Communicate project updates, timelines, and potential disruptions to the university community.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Professional Engineering license (PE) is a plus.
3-4 years of job-related experience.
Experience in higher education facilities is preferred.
Compensation:
Direct hire
Salary $95,000 - $115,000
