Construction Electrical Estimator

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Electrical Estimator to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical projects, ensuring that all financial and technical specifications are met. You will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project execution from estimation to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for electrical systems.
• Gather and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
• Prepare detailed estimates that include labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and product information.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project requirements and constraints.
• Work closely with project management teams to review and adjust estimates based on project changes or unforeseen circumstances.
• Maintain a database of historical costs and use this data to inform future estimates.
• Assist in the development of project budgets and financial forecasts.
• Stay current with industry trends, codes, and regulations that may impact project costs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as an electrical estimator in the construction industry (3+ years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and installation practices.
• Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.
