Talascend is currently seeking a Electrician for a contract opportunity in Greer, SC.
SUMMARY:
The main function of an electrician is to install maintain and repair electrical wiring equipment and fixtures. A typical electrician is responsible for inspecting testing maintaining or repairing electrical equipment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Measure cut and bend wired and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools.
Maintain tools vehicles and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order.
Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment.
Disassemble defective electrical equipment replace defective or worn parts and reassemble equipment using hand tools.
Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections using hand tools.
SKILLS:
Interpersonal skills attention to detail and problem solving skills.
Basic ability to work independently and manage time.
Basic knowledge of machines and tools including their designs uses repair and maintenance.
Basic knowledge of design techniques tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans blueprints drawings and models.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED required.
Technical degree or certification preferred.
2-4 years experience required.
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITY
Follow all Safety rule and regulations
Trouble shoot and repair all electrical issues with equipment ranging from 120v to 480v.
Assist other programs with any electrical issues with their equipment.
TOP 3 TECHNICAL SKILLS
Ability to read and understand schematics.
Knowledge of 3 phase and single phase and 480v systems
Proficient in the use of Electrical tools ie. Meter and megger
TOP 3 SOFT SKILLS:
Ability to use Microsoft office / smart phone
Possess valid DL
Fluent in English
