Electrician III - Bekum America Corporation

This position is responsible for manufacturing of quality blow molding machinery, auxiliary equipment and all sub-assemblies with the use of power and hand tools, precision tools, and any other required tools and/or equipment by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for maintaining compliance with OSHA, MIOSHA, and Company safety standards.

Builds or manufactures to drawing, bill of material, all items to established production quality and quantity as scheduled.  Proficient use of precision measuring equipment.

Assists with training of employees when necessary.

Responsible for maintenance/repair of building/installed equipment or new equipment as assigned.

Responsible for preventative maintenance and good housekeeping to insure good quality and continuation of safe operation.

Assists in other departments as temporary assignment.

Assists department supervisor with meeting predetermined schedule and development of future schedules, including coordination of manpower and projects assigned. 

Confers with supervisors, engineering, production personnel or others to resolve manufacturing problems.  Report shortages of parts, tools, and materials in a timely manner.

Operates power equipment and material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes, etc.).

Develops specifications from general description and draw sketch of part or product to be manufactured.

Responsible for submitting daily time accounting and payroll information or other paperwork requested.

Performs all tasks with minimal supervisory and/or engineering assistance. 

Journeyman Electrician Certification and eight (8) years' job related experience and/or equivalent. 

Full knowledge of machine and sub assembly wiring, startup, checkout, and troubleshooting.  Process knowledge helpful. 

Leadership experience preferred.

Must have personal hand tools to perform tasks effectively.

Ability to use mainframe computer.

Ability to work with metric and standard inch system.
