Job Summary:
Manage the installment and repairs of facility electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of commercial and industrial machinery. Applies electrical theory and related knowledge to test and modify developmental or operational electrical machinery and electrical control equipment and circuitry by performing the following duties.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage the assembly and testing of experimental motor control devices, control panels, programmable controllers, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and components.
Modifies electrical prototypes to correct functional deviations under direction of Electrical or Mechanical Engineer.
Diagnoses of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and determines root cause and corrective measures.
Develops wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and assists in developing engineering specifications for system or equipment modifications or expansion.
Plans, directs, records periodic electrical testing, and schedules personnel performing electrical duties within the facility.
Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork related to essential duties, including facility maintenance program, and recording of electrical and instrumentation testing.
Follow all site related and electrical safety policies and participate in weekly safety meetings.
Manages tools required, project materials, and material inventory to ensure scheduled project completion.
Communicates effectively using verbal, written, and electronic skills with coworkers and clients
Qualifications:
Successfully completed Apprenticeship Program; or minimum of six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Manufactures training for Programmable Logic Controllers, Servo Drives, and Variable Frequency Drives including basic knowledge, troubleshooting, and programming.
Project managed, including manpower, materials, equipment, communications, and schedules for a minimum of 6 years.
Must possess a valid driver’s license
State Master & Journeyman License
Manufacturers Certification in Maintaining & Troubleshooting Programmable Controllers
Safety certificate or registration, Lockout Tagout, qualified electrical worker, NFPA 70E arc flash, first aid/CPR, lift certified
