Job Summary:
An Illinois based company offering flexible packaging solutions to industrial and retail packaging needs is looking to add to their maintenance team. Maintenance technicians will be responsible for the troubleshooting and repair of complex production equipment. This will be a hands on position that will require the willingness to tackle all tasks needed to ensure a smooth running facility.

Pay: $26-$35/Hour based on experience

Qualifications:
- Must have 3+ years experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, repair, and installation in a manufacturing environment
- Strong ability in all areas of electrical maintenance, including 480v 3-phase motors, variable frequency drives, and controls is required
- Experience with mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, blue prints, motor drives, controls and PLC
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills; understand root cause, impact on production and prevent down time in the future
- Perform breakdown repairs, installation, preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, etc. on all production equipment, utilities, and building to maximize efficiency and reduce down time.
- Perform moderate to complex adjustments, maintenance and repairs to plant equipment such as slitters, extruders, flexographic presses, side-weld bag machines, and solventless laminators.
- Troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical problems with emphasis on electrical.
- Respond to immediate repair requests of electrical, production machinery and building equipment.
- Work from drawings, schematics, blueprints, job layouts and written or verbal instructions to perform assigned tasks.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery.
- Seek out ways to improve equipment performance and quality of product. Recommend changes related to equipment use to increase efficiency; keep the supervisor informed of problem areas.
- Use PLCs for routine troubleshooting.
- Firm understanding of industrial standards.
- Associates Degree or journeyman certification a plus.
