Our long-time client designs and manufactures energy efficient solar and engine-powered highway and portable lighting equipment for the construction and transportation industries.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a talented Electromechanical Design Engineer with exceptional critical thinking and troubleshooting skills. The successful candidate will spearhead the design and development of new products and enhancements to existing ones, ensuring they meet high standards of reliability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electromechanical systems using SolidWorks, focusing on steel, structural steel, sheet metal, and tubing.
- Execute power distribution and electrical layout designs compliant with ANSI & ASTM standards.
- Integrate, design, and test high-reliability electromechanical systems, including motors, actuators, and control systems.
- Conduct prototyping and testing activities, creating detailed component and assembly drawings, 3D models, and BOMs.
- Evaluate new designs and technologies through detailed performance analysis.
- SolidWorks Proficiency: Extensive experience in metal, structural steel, sheet metal, and tubing designs.
- Electrical Engineering Expertise: Advanced knowledge in power distribution, electrical layouts, schematic designs, wire diagrams, schematic capture, and solar power system integration.
- Electromechanical Systems Design: Proven track record in designing and selecting high-reliability electromechanical components.
- Prototyping and Testing: Strong skills in developing prototypes, testing, and performance evaluations.
- Experience in diesel engine integration, including designing engine mounts, fuel systems, and exhaust systems.
- Knowledge of solar power system integration, including panel selection and placement.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university.
