JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree preferred .
- 2 years of previous ER tech experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Knowledge of JCAHO and IDPH regulations.
- CPR certification required. ACLS certification desired.
- Demonstrated organization and time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and solve problems.
- Phlebotomy preferred.
- EMT preferred.
- Computer skills necessary to access patient databases, e-mail systems, etc.
JOB DUTIES
- Demonstrates the WMH Customer Service Values, which are key in providing quality service to patients and customers.
- Coordinates the activities of the Emergency Room Technicians.
- Assists with scheduling and staffing of the emergency room technicians.
- Assists with ER technician competencies.
- Orients newly hired Emergency Room technicians to the department.
- Orders supplies for the department.
- Provides patient care per ER technician job description.
- Evaluates quality of patient care. Problem solving to improve patient care. Ensures patient and staff satisfaction.
- Assists the director with performance improvement plans.
- Completes all job duties of ED Technician. *
