Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will possess a broad understanding of employment law, with a focus on employment counseling, litigation, and transactional work. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team while advising clients on employment policies, statutory and regulatory compliance, and employment agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on employment policies, statutory compliance, and separation agreements.
- Advise clients on labor and employment-related issues, including workplace practices and compliance with state and federal employment laws.
- Participate in employment litigation matters, as well as provide support on transactional employment issues.
- Assist with training and mentoring junior associates.
- Engage in business development activities and contribute to the overall growth of the firm’s Employment and Labor practice group.
Essential Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in employment law.
- Expertise in employment counseling, litigation, and transactional matters.
- Strong academic credentials and exceptional communication and legal writing skills.
- Admittance to the California bar is required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment with a high level of motivation and initiative.
- Willingness to collaborate with and mentor junior attorneys.
