Position Description:This position is responsible for providing high leveldesktop and end user support for the Department of State HUB building inHarrisburg which consists of approximately 300 users. This position supports theDaily operation of several bureaus within the DOS building to include AVconferences, board meeting support, users accessing the licensing registrationapplication and many other public service enabling utilities by assuring desktopconfiguration, connectivity and user access is operational. In addition tocritical delivery center desktop support for DOS operations there may be timescalled upon to support the DOS users statewide.Skills:The skill level of this position requires the ability to actindependently, work in team environments and have a highly advanced proficiencyand competence in a variety of IT platforms and technologies. This role hasvarious tasks, including troubleshooting of the Windows and some limited Macoperating systems, COTS applications as well as numerous in-house developedapplications, VPN connectivity issues, VDI connectivity issues, software removaland installation, hardware replacements and distributions, printer setups, basicnetworking issues, imaging desktops/laptops, and working with vendors tocoordinate onsite repairs.In addition to all the laptop and printer deployments, the technician in thisposition would support Audio Video PolyCom technology and TEAMS meetings.
