Overview
Copley Hospital, located in Morrisville/Stowe VT, is in search of an Endoscopy Technicial/Licensed Nursing Assistant to join our team! The Endoscopy Technician/Licensed Nursing Assistant will perform any combination of the following duties in giving patient care, under direction of a Registered Nurse. According to the department polices, provides appropriate basic nursing care to patients. Observes patients for physical/emotional changes. Records pertinent information in the patient's EHR. Communications with other patient care providers to ensure continuity of care. Works with considerable independence and self direction to ensure all necessary elements are in place for procedures. Performs responsibilities necessary to assist physicians and nurses in the procedure room. Maintains equipment and supplies on the unit. Compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care.
This position is Per Diem (PT/FT available).

Responsibilities
- Promotes an atmosphere conducive to learning for personnel and students
- Appears neat and clean and follows dress code
- Accepts constructive criticism with a positive, agreeable attitude
- Assists with admission, room orientation, data collection (e.g., vital signs, weights, heights)
- Cooperates in identification and application of cost-containment measures
- Fosters a harmonious working relationship
- Prepares procedure room for case,maintaining sterile areas and cleaning instruments after case.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives when appropriate
- Provides care according to MD orders and in conformance with P&P & Vermont Practice Act
- Responds to emergency situations in accordance with established P&P
- Assists physicians with various procedures, including, but not limited to, colonoscopies, upper gastrointestinal endoscopies.
- Assists in maintaining equipment. Assumes responsibility to completes work orders as needed
- Attends and contributes at departmental staff meetings
- Keeps nurse informed of patient condition changes or immediate problems
- Utilizes positive communication and interpersonal skills in performance of duties
- Participates in continuing education programs & mandatory education to maintain competence and certifications.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
Licensing:
- LNA License, preferred
Experience:
- Six months to one year clinical experience in hospital or nursing home setting, preferred
