Endoscopy Technician - Gastro / Endo - Digestive Health Center - University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority

Part-time, 90% FTE day shift. Monday - Friday with start times between 6:45am - 9:00am, working 8 hour days. No weekends, holidays or on-call required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking an Endoscopy Technician to:

• Assist physicians or other providers with procedures performed in the gastroenterology endoscopy setting.
• Prepare and position patients for procedures, assisting providers during endoscopy, including biopsy specimen collection, and polypectomy.
• Restock procedure room supplies and monitor supply PAR levels.
• Troubleshoot all specialty equipment.
• Adherence to strict infection control practices and use of personal protective equipment.

Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred - Formal training or experience in medical specialty (i.e. LPN, MA, Advanced Nursing Assistant)

Work Experience :

Preferred - One (1) year of experience in a clinical setting (or) one (1) year of experience assisting in GI or pulmonary medical procedures, basic cardiac monitoring experience.

Licenses and Certifications :

Minimum - BLS/CPR certification
