KeyLogic is seeking a highly skilled Energy Transition Analyst with a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) to join our team. This role focuses on developing detailed reports and cost models associated with residential fuel and equipment switching. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in energy systems, residential equipment, and cost analysis, combined with practical experience in managing data-intensive projects in the energy sector.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive reports and cost array workbooks detailing the financial impacts of fuel and equipment switching in residential settings.
- Analyze costs related to ductwork, plumbing, electrical, exhaust, installation, and removal for various energy technologies.
- Provide detailed cost breakdowns by national averages and census division specifics, highlighting regional variations in labor costs and infrastructure requirements.
- Engage with specialized data sources including the U.S. Energy Information Administration's (EIA) Residential Energy Consumption Survey and the U.S. Census Bureau data to inform cost estimations and assumptions.
- Collaborate with EIA stakeholders to ensure that all data needs are met and that the outputs align with internal use and public dissemination standards.
- Document methodologies, assumptions, and data sources rigorously to ensure transparency and reproducibility of cost estimates.
Position Requirements:
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification from the Association of Energy Engineers.
- U.S Citizenship is Required
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Energy Policy, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in energy analysis, focusing on residential or commercial energy systems.
- Strong proficiency with data analysis tools and software, including advanced Excel skills and any relevant energy modeling platforms.
- Experience with the National Energy Modeling System (NEMS) or similar modeling tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of the latest trends and regulations in the energy sector, particularly in residential heating, cooling, and appliances is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in preparing detailed reports and presentations for varied audiences.
- Proven track record of managing projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
