About the Job
The CI/Industrial Engineer (IE) will be responsible for supporting Worldwide Manufacturing & Engineering at our state of art Innovation and Manufacturing facility in Winston-Salem, NC, through the planning and execution of continuous improvement projects. Will apply analytical evaluation of equipment, materials, personnel and process for problem solving. Will participate on project teams related to system enhancements, process improvements and new functionality design and implementation. This position will be involved with process evaluation directed by SCADA, Oracle, and QA test information and the development of key performance indicators (KPI) and business intelligence (BI) dashboards to management. Global metrics, including OEE, will be developed and analyzed for consistency of comparative analysis of plant to plant efficiencies.
- Lead and implement continuous improvement (CI) projects from start-up to implementation.
- Implement regular reviews (weekly, monthly, quarterly) of plants progress toward CI initiatives.
- Participate in department reviews and small group activities to ensure work is properly integrated and progress is on track.
- Identify and facilitate process improvement projects, training/workshops to drive cultural change.
- Lead Kaizen (short-term continuous improvement events) to eliminate repeated issues.
- Support operations through analytical evaluation of equipment, materials, personnel and process.
- Support operations through downtime analysis and observations of blending and packaging lines.
- Participate on project teams related to system enhancements, process improvements and new functionality design and implementation.
- Evaluate process directed by SCADA, Oracle, and QA test information and to develop relevant reports to management.
- Perform mathematical analysis of data collected from SCADA.
- Review OEE and downtime dashboard summary daily.
- Maintain OEE, change overs, and downtime databases for all production process.
- Perform Pareto Analysis of true causes of downtime for all manufacturing lines.
- Perform statistical analysis of line operations and variable parameters to determine opportunities for waste reduction, yield, line speed enhancement, uptime, operation consistency, operator training modules, and maintenance training modules.
- Analyze and optimize changeover and setup process for all equipment and products.
- Provide SPC trend (X-Bar and Moving Range analysis) to determine process capability based upon accurate and timely information.
- Analyze in-bound component to determine levels of natural variability and to work with vendors to lessen/tighten this variability.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills:
- Analytical skills utilizing various continuous improvement tools.
- Detail-Oriented.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Suite, Statistics, SPC and Oracle applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong commitment to integrity and improvement.
- Ability to investigate and interpret QA/QC data and how it may affect fill accuracy and line performance.
- Great teammate with the ability to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity.
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, and/or supply chain.
Education:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering (Other related fields may be considered)
- Green Belt Certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills:
- Ability to solve practical problems and prioritize workload for effective implementation under general supervision.
- Computer skills including Access database, MS Visio, MS Project, MS Power BI, Process Mapping, SQL
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, and/or supply chain.
Education:
- MBA
- Lean Manufacturing/ GB or BB certification
- 5S and Six Sigma Training
