Engineering Clerk - Grey Staffing

Reports To: Engineering Services Supervisor

Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Clerk to support our engineering department by efficiently managing clerical tasks. This role involves compiling, maintaining, and controlling all engineering documents, ensuring accurate distribution to manufacturing and other operating departments. The ideal candidate will assist in document revision, including updating drawings, materials, operations, and ISO documents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter data for the ECN Process to update revision levels of part numbers, as well as current materials and operations as needed.
• Manage the CSR Process by entering new item numbers and updating current materials and operations.
• Handle the DCN Process by entering new or revised ISO document levels.
• Change the status of production items within the PDM vault.
• Prepare and process REA packages, including writing DCNs for ISO document changes.
• Convert various documents and records into electronic formats.
• Manage daily tasks such as checking and delivering engineering mail.
• Review and release sales orders.
• Perform entry-level drafting tasks, depending on your skill set.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) with one to three months of related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with effective communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work well in a team environment.
• Capable of quickly understanding new issues and making informed decisions.
• Ability to inspire confidence and build trust among colleagues.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and manage personal workload effectively.

Education and Experience:

• Associates Degree in an engineering-related field or 2+ years of experience in a professional clerical environment.
• Knowledge of labeling, drafting, and illustrating software is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for prolonged periods while working at a desk and using a computer.
