About the Job
The Workforce Development (WD) Organization is looking for a motivated employee dedicated to improving Design & Engineering (D&E) organizational effectiveness to work as an D&E Skills and Training Development Lead supporting all Design & Engineering WD initiatives within the D&E Organizations. EB strives to arm Designers and Engineers with the technical skills they need to be successful in all aspects of the design and shipbuilding process. If you are passionate about people development, strategic knowledge retention and management, and larger scale program development, this is the position for you.
Reporting to the Chief of Training for D&E, this position will be responsible for the growth and success of the D&E organization’s development.
The main focus for this position will be to work with various teams and management levels across EB, to develop the D&E organizations on a higher level and within a wider scope. Any execution and implementation of training and development programs will be the responsibility of the successful candidate. Additionally, this position must track and periodically provide management with metrics to validate the effectiveness of all programs in their cognizance.
This position requires a highly motivated self-starter with exceptional interpersonal and project management skills. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Work with Design & Engineering supervision and management to determine required skills to ensure uninterrupted performance on current and future work
- Identify and work with SMEs to gather technical information about required skills for future and existing programs
- Collaborate with the curriculum development team to guide the development of quality programs and determine the best method of delivery for the content
- Regularly interface with Design & Engineering leadership to provide feedback and take new actions in support of these organizations
Required:
- 4-year degree
- Project management skills

Prefered:
- 2 years experience managing projects
- 2 years experience leading a team
- Ability to interact with all levels of personnel including Senior Management and above
