Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Engineering Director:
- Lead an Engineering team from product initiation & development to testing and product roll out, while tracking progress and milestones accordingly including relevant KPIs.
- Work closely with Design, Manufacturing, and senior leadership teams to heavily influence the design process for product manufacturability & cost.
- Develop technology roadmaps and take total ownership of the development and release of new products.
- Ensure the successful execution of full-scale Industrial Engineering tasks to maximize production efficiency and profitability.
Required Skills for the Engineering Director:
- 8 – 10 years of experience in Engineering, preferably in a high mix, low volume vertically integrated facility.
- Knowledge of sheet metal design and assembly manufacturing methods, injection molded plastic design and manufacturing techniques preferred.
- Proven success in directing full scale Industrial engineering tasks to maximize production efficiency and profitability.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or Operations/Manufacturing Systems or similar field required, Masters preferred.
