Job Overview
As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technical professionals in managing the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes. Youll play a critical role in continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring the facility operates at peak efficiency. Your ability to manage cross-functional teams, solve complex technical problems, and collaborate with other departments will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers to ensure successful project execution.
- Oversee process improvements and implement best practices to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and safety teams to ensure all engineering solutions align with overall operational goals.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve operational effectiveness.
- Manage the implementation of new technologies and ensure seamless integration into existing systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Handle resource allocation, budget management, and timeline adherence for engineering projects.
- Provide technical guidance and support to resolve complex production and equipment issues.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related fields).
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering role within a heavy industry manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing engineering teams.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to pivot quickly when faced with challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in Engineering or Business Administration (MBA).
- Familiarity with automation technologies and Industry 4.0 practices.
- Experience in capital project management and process automation.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
