Summary:
As a member of the Engineering Support Team, you will work with our Sales Engineers, accounting and shipping team as well as our vendors to facilitate orders, services, and repairs for our customers. The day-to-day tasks of an Instrumart ESR are highly variable, and this role requires excellent judgment, time management, and the desire to "see a need, fill a need."
Primary Job Duties:
- Executing returns by processing RMA's, service orders, warranty repairs, and calibration communications
- Expediting orders with vendors Particular focus on proactive expediting of rush/urgent orders Vendor purchase order entry
- Communicating lead times to customers
- Part number entry Entering/Sending quotes on behalf of the sales engineers
- Quote follow-up emails to customers
- Processing sales orders, some over the phone
- Entering part #'s into Netsuite
- Generate sales reports/searches
- Vendor communications (obtaining pricing, lead times)
- Shipping and receiving in-service order items using our warehouse system
Required Skills:
- Technical aptitude
- Tech-savvy and can quickly figure out new systems
- Ability to work independently and use sound judgment in day-to-day decisions
- Aptitude and comfort with technical jargon
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. You will be communicating with all of our internal departments on a daily basis, as well as our external customers, both over the phone and via email.
- A high level of dependability
- Excellent attention to detail Is good at and enjoys solving problems
- Personable and team-player attitude Skilled time manager with a strong drive toward productivity
- Be a motivated self-starter who excels at carrying an independent workload
- Be personable and have a team-player attitude
- Not afraid to ask questions
- Quality assurance experience a plus
- Experience working with NetSuite (or similar business management software) is a plus.
