Engineering Technician - MSA Safety

• Completes schematic capture and net list generation of electrical designs using the Altium Design tool 
• Develops printed circuit board (PCB) layout of complex multi-layer and rigid flex circuit board designs
• Completes PCB Gerber file generation, ordering, and design file coordination with fabrication house
• Drives PCB development for prototype/proof-of-concept for electrical designs
• Completes surface mount component rework of printed circuit boards and component replacement as needed

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Knowledge of electrical design implementation to meet EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) standards
• Knowledge of schematic capture and PCB design using Altium Designer
• Solidinterpersonal skills in design collaboration with the electrical engineering team

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• Knowledge of high-speed PCB layout design techniques/methods

Education and Experience Required:

• Associate's degree in engineering technology, electronics or related discipline 

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (can substitute for up to 2 years relevant work experience.
