Job Description:
Purpose:
The Technician, Enrollment II is responsible for ensuring members are accurately enrolled in Client enrollment systems according to the account contract or service agreement for complex accounts. This role interacts with client account contacts, subscribers, Client Sales, Underwriting, Finance, IT, and the Account Installation Division of other BlueCross BlueShield Plans.
Essential Functions:
- 70%: Enroll subscribers and dependents for all lines of business as requested via fax, U.S. mail, or email for complex accounts. Verify enrollment status, update membership records, resolve system discrepancies, process terminations, and handle other enrollment events. Complete monthly reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- 20%: Coordinate with the Account Installation Team to ensure member ID cards are not released until all enrollment updates are completed and audited. Coordinate with the Billing Technician to ensure all group enrollments are processed before running the monthly bill.
- 10%: Assist with training new hires and providing refreshers for experienced staff.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- 3 years in membership enrollment, member services, billing, claims operations, or data analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- Ability to work in a team environment, Proficient
- Adapt swiftly to changing priorities, Proficient
- Learn client account details, process flows, and health insurance enrollment software, Proficient
- Handle large amounts of member enrollment data with attention to detail, Proficient
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
