General Information
Purpose:
The Enrollment Technician II is responsible for the accurate and timely enrollment of members into the client's systems, particularly for complex accounts. This role involves coordination with various stakeholders, including client account contacts, subscribers, sales, underwriting, finance, IT associates, and others in the Account Installation Division.
Essential Functions:
- 70% Enrollment Management:
- Enroll subscribers and dependents via fax, mail, or email for complex accounts.
- Verify enrollment status, make changes to membership records, resolve system discrepancies, process terminations, and other enrollment events.
- Perform monthly reconciliation and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- 20% Coordination:
- Work with the Account Installation Team to ensure that member identification cards are not released until all enrollment updates are completed and audited.
- Coordinate with the Billing Technician to ensure group enrollments are processed before running the monthly bill.
- 10% Training Assistance:
- Assist with initial training for new hires and provide training refreshers for existing staff.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- 3 years of experience in membership enrollment, member services, billing, claims operations, and/or data analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Effective teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Comprehension of client accounts, process flow diagrams, and health insurance enrollment software
- Proficiency in managing large amounts of member enrollment data with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Additional Requirements:
- Immediate disclosure of any debarment or exclusion affecting eligibility for Federal health care programs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines
- Effective communication and positive customer service skills, including handling demanding or challenging customers
