EHS ENGINEER
Reports to: HR/EHS Sr. Director
Location: Dalton, GA
Classification: Salary Exempt
SUMMARY
The EHS Engineer is responsible for the prevention of environmental and safety related accidents at workplaces through environmental safety and health management in compliance with the EHS procedures and complete accident-free and zero-accident workplace.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- On-site management and systems related to ESH introduction and operation.
- Perform various licenses and responsibilities for government office requirements.
- Completion of licensing and licenses management, compliance with hazardous chemical handling management, related educations, inspection, and inspection and safety diagnosis for hazardous chemicals, water quality, air pollutions, and waste.
- Safety trainings (regular, new, and special), safety accident prevention activities and improvement, risk assessment, operation of safety culture settlement program.
- Management of hazardous process change factors, risk assessment, approval of safety work, pre-operation safety inspection, emergency response training, and self-audit.
- Conduct symbiotic cooperation programs, regular meetings, and joint safety checks.
- Health trainings (regular, new, and special), MSDS management, health checkup for workers, improvement of work environment measurement, investigation of harmful effects of musculoskeletal diseases.
- Identify the status of public health workers, establish health promotion plan, and operate health promotion program.
- ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management.
- Regularly provide EHS trainings and support to all employees.
- Accurately record data and production information.
- Adhere to the Health & Safety procedures
- Adhere to the federal and local environmental safety and health policies.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha Q CELLS.
- Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering related to Industrial, Safety, or Manufacturing
- Ability to communicate at all levels both verbally and written
- Basic PC skills
- Flexibility to adapt to different tasks
- Awareness of Health and Safety
- Eye for detail and quality
- Must be able to communicate effectively within the team
- Able to tolerate a fast-paced work environment in areas that are not climate controlled
- Assertive, able to cope with pressure, a team player
- A self-motivated and driven team player
- Proactive approach toward various issues
- Fluent in both Spanish and English
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to stand and walk the production area throughout the workday
- Able to lift to 50 pounds without restriction
- Reaching, pushing, pulling, or lifting as required within limits set by Hanwha Q CELLS USA, Inc.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience managing EHS issues
- Experience in assembly and/or manufacturing environment
- High level of work ethic toward improving organizational culture
