Position Title: EHS Compliance Coordinator
Location: Bristol, RI
Primary Responsibilities:
- Policy Execution & Compliance: Implement the company’s EHS policies, overseeing accurate documentation in EHS management systems. Key programs include Title V Air Permit, NPDES, Storm Water Management, SPCC, Facility Response Plan, OSHA standards (e.g., NFPA 70E, Process Safety Management), and EPA regulations.
- Regulatory Reporting & Liaison: Generate and submit regulatory reports, act as site liaison with regulatory agencies, ensuring collaborative relationships and maintaining compliance.
- Continuous Emissions Monitoring: Lead the management of the site’s Continuous Emissions Monitor and Data Acquisition Systems, ensuring accurate data and timely report submission.
- Safety Leadership: Drive safety and health program improvements as part of the plant's OSHA VPP Star program, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Incident Management & Risk Reduction: Participate in incident investigations, conduct root cause analysis, and support corrective actions. Assist operational staff in compliance efforts and improvements that reduce risks and costs.
- Audits & Regulatory Awareness: Engage in regulatory and internal audits, and stay updated on EHS regulatory changes. Provide off-hours support during outages or emergency responses as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
- Regulatory Expertise: Knowledge of Clean Air Act programs, CEMS, and quality assurance activities is preferred, along with general regulatory knowledge in areas like CWA, EPCRA, CERCLA, RCRA, and RMP.
- Skills: Strong organizational and communication abilities, capable of multi-tasking in a dynamic environment, and developing leadership in results-driven, strategic planning. Collaborative team player with a track record of consensus-building.
