PSI, an Intertek company, is searching for an Environmental Project Engineer/Geologist/Scientist to join our Building & Constructionteam in our Salt Lake City, UT office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the environmental, engineering, and construction industry!
The Environmental Project Engineer/Geologist/Scientist will support the Building & Construction business by overseeing the Environmental projects.
What you'll do:
- Manage/Perform Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I, II and III ESAs)
- Manage/Perform soil, groundwater, and soil vapor assessments
- Manage/Perform vapor intrusion investigations
- Participate in environmental remediation projects
- Prepare proposals and technical reports
- Coordinate field efforts with various teams within PSI and with subcontractors
- Focus on meeting client deliverables and timelines
- Organize and maintain various projects at a time
- Must be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work
- Assist with and establish client relationships along with fostering client retention
What it takes to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental/Chemical/Civil Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Sciences required
- 7+ Years of related experience is required
- Environmental Site Assessment experience required
- State of Colorado/Utah environmental regulation (voluntary cleanup program and the enforceable written assurance) knowledge preferred
- Professional Registration - P.E. or P.G. or ability to obtain in the next year preferred
- Must be able to work, manage tasks, and schedule independently
- Must be able to perform tasks in varying field/office conditions
- Must be computer literate and able to operate most field/office equipment relating to one's discipline
- Strong technical proposal and report writing abilities
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and interact effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record required
