G&A Partners' client is currently seeking a Equipment Operator to join its team in Belle Chasse, LA.
Responsibilities:CORE DRILLING
Primary Purpose:
Core drilling is used when precise circular holes are needed. Holes of almost any diameter are easily drilled to make openings for plumbing, electrical, and HVAC installations. Core drilling is also used to create holes for routing cables or placing anchor bolts, holes needed for dowel bars, or for concrete core samples needed for testing purposes.
Typical Duties:
Moves equipment tools and supplies manually or by dolly. Lifts and moves equipment into position for drilling. Connects electric cords and water holes to drill, connects hydraulic hoses to drill when using hydraulic drill. Start gas engines to activate electric generators or hydraulic power units, operates drill by turning on a valve or switch to energize drill motor, turns handle to put downward pressure on bit, to drill the hole. Remove core from hole and dispose of, (maintenance of equipment: consist of cleaning and greasing equipment inspection of all electrical equipment daily, including plugs, cords and drill motor.)
Qualifications:- Must submit to a 7-year background check administered through DISA and drug screen
- Clean driving record – 3 years
- Valid TX driver’s license
- Read & Write English
- Able to drive a 1-ton truck and trailer – CDL license is not required
Preferred Experience and Certifications
- 10HR or 30HR OSHA
- TWIC Card
- Basic Plus
- Site specific training – Formosa, if any
- Construction Background or experience
- Concrete cutting experience
- Bilingual
