Salary Range: $160,000 - $200,000 DOE per year, plus benefits and bonuses

Role Overview:
The Estimating Manager will provide corporate estimating support to all districts, managing a team of four, including one senior estimator and three junior to mid-level estimators. This role reports to the Local Regional Vice President and Vice President of Estimating. You will be responsible for estimating project and material costs, working closely with construction crews, purchasing agents, and other managers to determine the financial aspects of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of estimators and assistant estimators.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and determine initial production rates for projects.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
- Review bids from vendors or contractors to ensure fairness and reasonableness.
- Coordinate with other managers to ensure project schedules are met and adjust schedules as needed.
- Estimate material costs and labor hours needed to complete projects.
- Ensure that work is performed efficiently and effectively, meeting safety standards and complying with local regulations.
- Review finished products for quality assurance.
- Maintain detailed records of project details, contracts, bids, and correspondence.
- Develop initial resource requirements and solicit material and subcontractor pricing.
- Establish preliminary project schedules.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical training/experience.
- 7-10 years of estimating, cost control, and/or engineering experience, with at least 4 years in estimating.
- Strong understanding of heavy civil construction and geotechnical projects.
- Proficient in HCSS Heavy Bid and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Primavera P6 is a plus but not required.
