Nick Falcone & Sons, Inc, a leader in Commercial Site Development specializing in Demolition, Excavation, Storm Sewer, Sanitary Sewer, Water Services, Concrete & Paving, is seeking a proactive and deadline-driven Estimator to join our Estimating team. This role is essential in generating and submitting timely bids for projects, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, subcontractors, and vendors. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in construction estimating practices, be proficient in blueprint reading, and possess advanced math and computer skills.

In West Philadelphia, in 1945, Nick Falcone Sr. began Nick Falcone & Sons by offering residential concrete, new development work, flat concrete & curb work. In 1960, Nick Falcone Jr. & his brother John Falcone expanded the business into heavy highway work & concrete roadway paving. In the late 1970's the company thrived on commercial, new residential developments & heavy highway work. The ownership then changed to the third generation of Falcone's in 1986. With continued success, the business expanded into municipal work & commercial site development. Currently, the fourth generation has already begun to hone their skills & knowledge in order to move towards the next set of leadership goals. - Quantity Takeoffs: Perform earthwork takeoffs using AGTEK and quantity takeoffs through Bluebeam or Adobe.
- Bid Preparation: Develop and submit bids using Estimating Link software.
- Plan Management: Manage and maintain plan logs, ensuring organization and efficiency.
- Vendor Coordination: Organize, manage, and distribute pricing requests to vendors and subcontractors.
- Project Prioritization: Prioritize tasks to meet critical bid deadlines.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct job cost analysis with the project management team for accuracy and efficiency.
- Client Relations: Maintain and build strong relationships with clients and follow up on submitted bids.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret and understand blueprints and project documents.
- RFI Management: Prepare and handle Requests for Information (RFIs) as needed.
- Scheduling: Utilize scheduling software to plan and track project timelines.
- Education: Civil or Construction Management degree preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of estimating experience in construction, specifically in site excavation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with AGTEK, Estimating Link, Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel.
- Blueprint Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Construction Knowledge: Familiarity with site excavation means and methods.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Licenses: Valid state driver's license with reliable transportation.
