SUMMARY
This position plays a pivotal role in supporting the evening operations of the Lakeshore Campus from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. This position serves as the primary point of contact for the campus during evening hours, providing essential assistance to students, faculty, and staff attending evening classes, as well as external community members utilizing campus facilities for evening events. This position ensures the smooth operation and security of the campus during evening hours in collaboration with the contracted security staff. The evening coordinator will be responsible to implement emergency protocols and respond promptly to any incidents that may arise during these hours.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversee evening operations of the Lakeshore Campus, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to college policies and procedures
- Implement emergency response protocols to ensure the safety and security of students, faculty, and staff as appropriate, and in collaboration with other stakeholders
- Collaborate with contracted security staff to maintain campus security and safety and perform evening closure of facility
- Coordinate evening activity schedule and oversee setup/tear down of evening events, ensuring they run smoothly and stakeholders have positive experience
- Coordinate evening class schedules and room assignments in collaboration with academic departments
- Monitor and manage resources allocated for evening operations, including supplies, equipment, and budget expenditures
- Address and enforce policies related to student conduct
- Provide support to faculty during evening hours to ensure they have support for any classroom needs
- Assist students with admissions, registration, and other support services in the evening
- Collaborate with campus leadership to address any operational issues or incidents on campus leadership
- Work collaboratively with other college departments to ensure effective facility management
- Demonstrate adaptability and willingness to work non-traditional hours to meet event objectives and support college programming
- Regular attendance during normal scheduled hours is required. Being present is essential for serving customers and performing the essential functions of this position.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Educational Credentials
- Associate’s degree or comparable combination of relevant education and experience
Work Experience
- Three years of experience in a customer service role or office environment required
- Experience in higher education preferred
Skills
- Must be punctual and have a good attendance record and remain flexible in schedule to allow for changes during the semesters
- Must be personable and energetic, enjoy working with the public, and have a strong customer service focus; ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships, motivate others and work effectively as a member of a team as well as independently
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and priorities
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods during campus events, meetings, and daily work routines
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds of equipment or materials for setup and teardown of campus events

- Proficient in managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously in a dynamic educational environment
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relationships, motivate others, and work effectively as a member of a team
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and to ensure staff and student employees also excel in this function
- Must demonstrate attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability
- Must be punctual with a good attendance record and have the ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule
