Event Associate - CMP Management

Position Description:

The event associate is responsible for executing administrative event related support tasks on behalf of our clients and has a high degree of interaction both internally and externally. Events supported include educational programs, luncheons, seminars, galas, golf tournaments, and a variety of other special events for multiple nonprofit professional societies, trade associations and charitable foundations. This position requires the ability to change gears quickly addressing multiple tasks on a regular basis.

Assignment Focus:

1. Ensuring all tasks necessary to orchestrate a successful event are executed efficiently and effectively and coordinated with the Event Managers and Association Executives.
2. Ensuring exceptional service delivery in the production of events.
3. Ensuring all assigned activities are completed in a timely fashion.
4. Updating client websites and content management.
5. Supporting speaker management process.
6. Coordinating web content management development and updates.
7. Developing and editing print and digital content.

Position Requirements:

• University degree in hospitality, business, marketing or related field preferred
• Minimum 3 years office experience required
• Ability to develop professional relationships in all aspects of the position that result in stable, consistent, reliable, and courteous communication when dealing with other organizations
• Ability to problem solve and work independently in changing and multi-tasking environment with numerous deadlines
• Excellent organizational, planning and project management skills
• Proven ability to take direction and input that will achieve the organization's goals
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability for accuracy and thoroughness
• Solid business acumen, management and problem-solving skills
• Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), event management technologies, and customer relationship management software
• Ability to travel is required
• Reliable transportation is required

Standard work hours: M-F, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, some evenings and weekends required
