Dan's Excavating Service, Inc. is seeking an Excavating Working Foreman to lead our construction team. The Excavating Working Foreman will be responsible for overseeing excavation projects while actively participating in the work. This role requires hands-on leadership, ensuring all projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety, while meeting deadlines and exceeding customer expectations.

- Supervise and lead a crew in the completion of excavation and construction tasks, ensuring work is completed efficiently and according to project specifications.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders as needed, demonstrating expertise in excavation techniques.
- Plan daily tasks, delegate responsibilities, and monitor progress to ensure timely project completion.
- Collaborate with the project manager to assess project requirements, material needs, and timelines.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company standards, conducting daily safety briefings with the team.
- Inspect work sites regularly to ensure quality control, addressing issues as they arise.
- Train and mentor crew members to improve skills and performance.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including work logs and time sheets.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in excavation, construction, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Proficient in operating heavy equipment (excavators, bulldozers, loaders, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of excavation and construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to adapt to changing project demands.
- Commitment to safety, with a solid understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
