OCT Consulting LLC is an SBA-certified, 8(a) small business management and technology consulting firm that provides support to Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.
Responsibilities and Duties
OCT is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to join our corporate team. This position will play a key role in supporting upper management and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of our office and virtual environments. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in office management, with strong administrative skills and a basic understanding of IT functions to provide basic technological support.
Day-to-day responsibilities include, but are certainly not limited to:
- Office Management:
- Oversee daily operations of the office, ensuring a clean, efficient, and organized workspace.
- Manage office supplies, including procurement, inventory, and vendor relationships.
- Coordinate and manage office-related facilities, such as office maintenance, repairs, and safety protocols.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, conference calls, and events for upper management and teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications related to office matters.
- Support for Upper Management:
- Provide administrative support to senior leadership, including calendar management, travel arrangements, and expense reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents as needed.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Coordinate projects and initiatives as directed by senior management.
- IT Support:
- Assist with basic IT troubleshooting and coordination of IT services for OCT, such as managing hardware (printers, computers, etc.) and software setups.
- Liaise with external IT vendors for service requests and troubleshooting issues.
- Help onboard new employees with IT-related tasks (e.g., setting up email accounts, access to shared drives, etc.).
- Assist with maintaining office technology systems, including video conferencing setups, network connectivity, and cloud-based solutions.
- Event planning:
- Assist in organizing in-office and virtual events, such as team meetings, training sessions, parties, and team building events.
Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- 2-4 years of experience in office management or an administrative role in a professional office environment. (Experience working with government contractors a plus!)
- Must possess proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience using Google Drive and other Google Workspace tools for collaboration, document management, and communication.
- Experience working with and providing support to upper management and C-Suite executives is highly desirable.
- Basic IT skills, including familiarity with troubleshooting hardware and software, laptop set up and inventory control are highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage time effectively.
- A proactive attitude and problem-solving approach.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, office management, or related field preferred.
- Must be able to commute to Tysons Corner/McLean VA on a regular basis (3 days a week will be expected).

Salary Range: $55,000-70,000 yearly commensurate with experience, education, etc.
