Executive Assistant - BME Strategies

Summary:

Founded in 2004, BME Strategies is a consulting firm specializing in providing Public Health design and implementation programming for local, regional, and state governments. BME Strategies is seeking a detail-oriented LA-based Executive Assistant for busy Founder/Executive Director to help stay organized and take over a variety of administrative duties to free up his time to focus on global health and public health leadership. Although this position will mostly work remotely, the ability to commute to the Redondo Beach area of Los Angeles as needed is important. 

Responsibilities:

• Management of multiple business inboxes and calendars including the drafting and responding to professional correspondence
• Personal and business travel arrangements, as needed
• Proactively put systems into place to optimize time
• Ability to write technical documents including the drafting of work plans, timelines, summary documents, notes/minutes, and concept notes
• Expense tracking and reconciliation
• Proactively bring issues to attention of Executive Director, along with proposed solutions
• Ability to provide draft communications related to global health and public health (subject area can be taught)
• Run errands, perform research, assist with projects and organization, carry out miscellaneous requests
• Research and organize maintenance and improvement related requests for home office  and rental properties

Requirements

• At least five years of previous experience supporting a C-level Executive with both business and personal tasks
• Organized, tech savvy, able to prioritize tasks, thorough and proactive
• Self-starter with experience creating and implementing organizational systems, and driving projects forward
• Experience with inbox and calendar management
• Forward-thinking with ability to solve problems before they reach the Executive Director
• Confidentiality and discretion are required
• Team player with a can-do attitude
• Proactive and ability to follow directions well
• High attention to detail
• Organized and strong problem solver
• Multi-tasker with the ability to manage multiple needs and manage time well
• Good communicator
• Technologically savvy and open to the use of new technology to optimize processes and create efficiencies
• Takes pride and ownership in their work

Benefits

• Expected range is $75,000 - $90,000/ annually
