Job Description
Protagonist is seeking a highly motivated and organized Executive Assistant to support our CEO. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support and play a pivotal role in our business development efforts, particularly within our U.S. Government client portfolio. This role requires involvement in strategic planning and project management, supporting the CEO in strategy and decision-making processes. Flexibility and adaptability are crucial, as the Executive Assistant must be prepared to handle ad hoc responsibilities and unexpected challenges with poise and resourcefulness. This role is integral to the day-to-day success of the CEO, requiring a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of time management and prioritization. This position requires onsite support (occasional remote opportunities) in our Washington, DC office.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative support to the CEO, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents as needed, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and ensure sensitive documents are managed securely.
- Coordinate action items and activities with members of the company leadership team and internal or external stakeholders.
- Support the CEO and sales team in maintaining relationships with government clients, ensuring effective communication and follow-up.
- Track and manage the progress of government sales opportunities, including monitoring deadlines, compliance requirements, and reporting needs.
- Research and gather information on government procurement processes, regulations, and potential opportunities to support business development efforts.
Work Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar role.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ideal Candidates:
- Experience working with government clients and familiarity with government contracting processes is highly desirable.
- Experience in business development with an emphasis on business to government .
- Experience taking on unexpected tasks and projects, often with tight deadlines, demonstrating a high level of adaptability and resourcefulness.
- Familiarity with project management tools and techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary Range: $65,000-$101,800 based on education and level of relevant experience.
