This well-known and highly regarded distillery is looking for a passionate and experienced General Manager for their new upscale casual concept, offering outstanding compensation, excellent training, and career growth opportunity.
DESCRIPTION:
The Executive Chef is responsible for managing all operations of the kitchen to achieve stated objectives in food quality, costs, employee retention, training, and sanitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee every aspect of the kitchen's operations, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards
- Hire, onboard, and manage employees, including scheduling, training, development, and, when necessary, termination
- Create, develop, and execute innovative menus, ensuring culinary excellence and consistency
- Monitor and optimize food costs by managing portion control, waste reduction, and efficient use of ingredients
- Regularly analyze the restaurant's financial performance, adjusting food costs, pricing, and operations as necessary
- Foster a positive and professional kitchen environment conducive to skill development and high performance
- Lead by example, actively participating in cooking, presentation, and kitchen management
- Oversee the ordering of supplies and maintain proper inventory control levels
- Work closely with management team to ensure the culinary and service aspects of the restaurant operate seamlessly
- Develop and maintain efficient systems for kitchen operations, ensuring the team adheres to these systems to maintain consistency and efficiency in the kitchen

Desired Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in the restaurant industry, with a minimum of 2 years as an Executive Chef (or similar role) for an upscale full-service restaurant
- ServSafe Manager certification required
- Able to prioritize engagement, teaching, mentorship, and staff growth through guidance and feedback
- Passionate about hospitality and guest service demonstrating a collaborative spirit and attitude
- Proficient in financial management and experienced in implementing and managing systems
- Must have open availability to accommodate varying shifts, including nights and weekends
