SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTIONS
The Executive Director acts as a representative of the governing body of the nursing facility for the internal management, and to be responsible for the efficient administration of all activities, subject to the policies, procedures and orders of the governing body in compliance with company policies.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
• Manages the overall operations of the facility under direction of the Regional Vice President of Operations and in conformance with ASC policy and procedures.
• Enforces rules and regulations relative to health care and safety of residents, and to the protection of their personal and property rights.
• Ensures compliance in accordance with State and Federal Department of Health regulations.
• Plans, organizes, and directs these responsibilities delegated by the governing body.
• Maintains on-going liaison among the governing body, medical and nursing staffs, and other professional and supervisory staff of the facility.
• Actively develops resident census through business and health care contacts.
• Designates department heads to assume administrative functions and be responsible as outlined in their respective job descriptions.
• Management duties including, but not limited to, recruiting, hiring, training and developing, coaching and counseling, and terminating department staff, as deemed necessary
• Monitor each department’s activities, communicate policies, evaluate performance, provide feedback and assist, observe, coach, and discipline, as needed.
• Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to our residents, family members, customers and staff.

• Must be a licensed administrator as required by the State.
• Must have experience in the health, human services, and/or community services field
