Exercise Physiologist
As our Exercise Physiologist at St. Luke’s Health - Woodlands Hospital, now part of CommonSpirit Health, you’ll help our patients recover and reach their health goals. Using various treatments, you will help patients improve their cardiovascular health, body composition or flexibility to keep them functioning at their best level.

The Woodlands Hospital is a 245 bed non-profit facility providing quality health care to patients and communities in and around The Woodlands, Texas. Position Summary:
Performs a fitness assessment on patients as required. Develops individualized exercise prescriptions based on patient's goals. He/she performs fitness assessments and goal modifications as required. The position provides support and education to meet patient's goals for risk factor modification. Must assess patients for symptoms, EKG changes and contraindications to exercise and education on risk factor modification.
This is a PRN role rate = $30hr.
Responsibilities:Position Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with physicians and nursing staff to develop and implement individualized mobilization plans of care for patients
- Collaborates with nursing to evaluate effectiveness of the plan of care in achieving desired outcomes and revises plan of care as needed
- Monitors patient for ECG changes, cardiac arrhythmias, blood pressure and symptoms before, during and after exercise
- Conduct and Supports outcomes oriented research and integrates findings into clinical practice, educational programs, and policy updates
Education:
Bachelor's Degree Required
Minimum Experience:
One (1) year of related work experience.
