Exterior Trim Launch Engineer

Launch support of automotive exterior component parts in manufacturing plant
" Excellent product knowledge of Exterior trim components (Bumper, Cladding, Spoiler, Door exterior trim, Front Grill, Garnish, Mudguard, Emblem )
" Check the quality of components and identify defects if any
" Find the root cause of product issues and provide temporary countermeasure
" Work with cross functional team in the plant to find a permanent solution / design fix for ongoing issues
" Create a CAD proposal in Catia V5 and conduct change management
" Collaborate with key exterior system and plastic component suppliers and support overall vehicle development milestones and production build events
" Responsible for technical documentation to include DFMEAs, DVP&R s Requirements
" Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive exterior / bumper components and subsystem
" Knowledge of manufacturing technologies
" Perform feasibility and packaging study
" In-depth knowledge of Plastic tooling "
