About the Job
A successful candidate will serve as a database Engineer reporting to the Infrastructure Management division. This position is responsible for delivering and overseeing multi-tenant databases and service offering as part of Foundational Infrastructure Modernization Project. The database Engineer will be responsible for leading projects and initiatives and making significant contribution to the technical design and implementation of the database platforms under the clients directions. This role offers the opportunity to work across teams and contribute to the database services while leading the charge for database solution across service delivery; and involves critical thinking and problem solving in concert with the utilization of industry standard best practices.

"Experience with latest Oracle versions and their features but not limited to Multi-tenant Architecture,Oracle Partitioning, Real Application Testing (RAT), Oracle Database Vault.
"Perform special projects, and initiatives as assigned.
"Perform RCA; manage different database encryption technologies; and implement DR by design andvalidate.
"Lead team efforts in adopting in modernized architecture such as hybrid cloud and database ready forhybrid cloud.
"Ensure all databases are backed up and meets the business's Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) andRecovery Time Objectives (RTO)
"Assist developers and end users in implementing best practices and addressing performance issues inimplementation.
"Configure Oracle Data Guard with Active and Standby database modes.
"Configure Oracle RAC and ASM technologies on Redhat Linux.
"Configure Golden gate replication; both integrated and microservices based configuration.
"Work hands on more extensive projects such as migration, implementing of new features,architectures and validation and assisting OTI.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
"Minimum 12 years of hands-on experience in database engineering.
"Ability to work independently.
"Experience in implementing/managing Oracle Databases in a RAC environment with at least 2years of production support.
"Experience in Implementing Grid Infrastructure release 19 or higher on a Redhat Linuxenvironment.
"Experience implementing ASM cluster Filesystem with knowledge of how to maintain it forsuccessful operational delivery.
"Knowledge of Best Practices for adding a new disk to an ASM disk group.
"Experience patching grid infrastructure software.
"Familiarity with Oracle database resource manager.
"Familiar with Ansible/automation/scripting.
"Ability to work independently.
